I'm an admirer of loose painting styles. After years in graphics, I'm comfy with tight, rendered work—so I've been playing with brush strokes and "letting go." This piece, "Fancy Pants," represents a more impressionist vibe: bold, energetic swooshes that highlight simplified shapes over precise strokes. Both styles are paint-worthy, but it's healthy to step out of your comfort zone. ~ kcg
