General Info

We're glad you asked. Sanguine Fine Art's co-owner and oil painter is Terry Cooke Hall. During the mid-70s, Terry’s passion for art led her to numerous courses and workshops in life drawing, graphic design and illustration, eventually leading to a fine art career as a professional artist in 2009. Since then, she has earned numerous awards and been honored with a museum purchase. She has also exhibited her works in 30 major museum shows as well as through several gallery group exhibitions. Residing in Montana, Terry’s contemporary style is a result of her West viewed through the lens of 30 years of work in design and illustration. Please visit the About SFA page for a detailed bio.Sanguine Fine Art's co-owner and graphic designer/digital creator is Kathi Gerritsen. Though Kathi's educational background involves theater and writing, she gravitated to the graphic design field in the mid-70's. For a decade and a half, she immersed herself in color, shape, balance, layout, typography and photography. She later partnered with sister Terry C Hall to paint murals and faux finishes, writing articles for newspapers and magazines in between. After years of experimenting with digital illustration, photo manipulation and website building, the computer became her go-to medium for artistic expression. Kathi's favored style results in abstracts built from layers of known elements to allow completely new creations to emerge. You can find out more about Kathi on our About SFA page.

Shipping

No worries, domestic shipping is always free (yay!). (Note: There may be an oversize charge on items larger than 40" x 40". If so, we will contact you with information regarding that fee.) We do ship internationally, but there will be a shipping fee added to your order according to the weight and size of your item(s). Once the fee is known, you will be notified of the cost as well as the approximate time of delivery. Other costs, such as duties and taxes, may add to the cost of international shipping. We will do our best to ensure that you are informed of these additional costs prior to shipping. Please visit our Shipping/Payments/Returns page for particulars.

Generally speaking, orders take at least 3 weeks to ship. Originals will ship sooner, usually within 2 weeks, once they are properly crated. In the case of prints, once a print order is placed, it can take a couple of weeks to receive the print order, then box, and ship it. Custom orders for business accounts might take a little longer. Allow 3 - 5 business days after prep time to start looking anxiously out the window for your slice of artful joy. Please visit our Shipping/Payments/Returns page for more information.

We always include a tracking number once your order is shipped so you can check on progress at any time. Please visit our Shipping/Payments/Returns page for additional info.

Special orders don't upset us ;-) ; however, there may be restrictions with certain products. We will do our best to provide custom color modifications, which will depend on the image file. If the image can be modified, it will require an extension of time for preparation and printing. Please feel free to contact us to discuss possible color options.

Size matters, so we can accept special orders to provide custom sizes if the file of the image fits your request. Proportions of the piece must be consistent with the original item. Shoot us an email to discuss your request and we will do our best to make it work for you.

Basically, each of the reproduction processes involve differences in inks and substrates (the material the artwork is printing on). In short, we offer printing on Chromaluxe HD aluminum photo panels with an extremely durable giclée printing process; fine art papers that are of the highest quality 'velvet' finish, certified archival for 100 years; and canvas wrap and flat mount giclées printed on Pro Matte cotton blend canvas with the highest quality printing process available. We encourage all our buyers to be well-informed so they are confident they’ll receive exactly what they are looking for.

Yes, it's possible that you can but it will depend on the quality of the image. Some of our images do not have as high of a resolution as others and may not lend themselves to another substrate in a size that would fit your needs. But we are certainly willing to do our best to accommodate your request. Please feel free to contact us so we can review the image to see if it will work. If so, we will provide cost and timing for your requested version.

Since color is a big deal around here, we do our best to ensure colors appear as close as possible to the original image. However, color appears slightly different from monitor to monitor and these variations are out of our control.
