The background colors and textures of this piece are a result of layers and layers (and more layers!) of thick paint troweled and scraped with metal tools and rubber spatulas, then dripped with a metallic mixture that created golden flowerets. The result is an aged, rusty appearance with colors embedded throughout for a one of a kind effect. The cowboy silhouette was painted on top, then outlined in a gold metallic oil mixture.
