From the late 50s and on, Pop Art was all the rage, and the illustrators of those years emulated the lead Pop Artists of the era. Their influence guided some of my early style and is re-emerging in my recent works, such as this one - "She's Like a Rainbow". The colorful sky, the sunglasses, and the pieced-out hair are my way of expressing that style.
