The lights on the boat masts are glowing in the dark and, like time-lapse photography, they are leaving swirling streaks in your vision. Picture that time when you were walking along the bay and boats anchored in the harbor were gently rocking toward and away from each other. It was a cool night and the warm colored lights on the masts of the boats glowed in the dark and, like time-lapse photography, the lights left little streaks in your vision.
