To everything, there is a season.
However, not everyone gets to experience real seasons. Here in the southwestern US, our years consists of warm to hot to cool to sort-of cold (and back again) with hardly a change of scenery. The graphic abstracts in the Saratoga series borrow colors and moods displayed in the more flamboyant seasons of the northeastern states, where they hold some real clout. With vibrant color and dappled shapes, the graphic technique suggests woods and moss, sunlight and leaves, crisscrossed trails ... and a time to every purpose under heaven.
This series of prints are designed in a "Poster-style", reminiscent of the lithography of the 19th and 20th centuries. Fonts created by the designers and added to the artwork called attention to the 'modern age' of advertising. Often, these "poster-style" lithographs were so popular that they were ripped off the walls by the public for their collections. Today, the poster consists mostly of digitally created artwork, often representing major international corporations.
Note: Artwork images shown in vignettes are framed replicating the simple poster-style used in advertising, but use your own imagination! Frame not included.
