With such a classic pose, this roper’s silhouette in the late afternoon sun captures the gear so crucial for his work. I’m always amazed at the skill and focus of ropers as they compete against the clock during our local events, moving in coordination with each other, much like a synchronized dance. Always attending these events with my camera, I was thrilled to capture this cowboy’s image during a rodeo in Bozeman. His profile provided an opportunity to work with my training in graphic design and my love of Pop Art with this legendary figure of the west. ~tch
