I was given several root vegetables recently, and the colors were so gorgeous that I laid them out on a glass-topped table to photograph them. After I enhanced their true colors by misting them with water, they became an irresistible subject for a still life. As I was developing the forms, I decided to allow the colors to drip down, creating an impression of roots reflecting through the watery glass they were lying on. ~ tch
