I often use a cold wax medium to create textures throughout each piece. As viewers approach them, surprises that delight the emotions are revealed. Along with textures, the simplicity of the shapes allow enough of the image remaining so that the subject is distinct but the softened tones infuse a bit of mystery. ~ tch
