This painting, although featuring three strange-looking women similar to the three witches of Macbeth, was not actually designed around Shakespeare’s play. They are a figment of my imagination from an early time in my life – high school! I created a much smaller painting similar to this piece but in watercolor and India ink. It was purchased by a gentleman who attended an art show held at my school, and I have no idea if it still exists or where it might be. Fortunately, I have a Polaroid version of the original and had fun recreating it in oils in this larger size as a way to revive the intuitive experiences of my creative past.
