The real-life lily stalks had been cut short - stumpy, really - which seemed a shame to me. These two were obviously buddies – but the arrangement and photo left them a bit graceless. In Illustrator, I pared down the image to the bare bones of a value study – light, medium and dark – and applied colors only tangentially related to the real thing. Lastly, I str-e-e-e-e-tched them up and around each other. The result is a very simple composition that conveys an equally simple idea about friendship: “I’ll dance through life with you – and sister, I’ll always have your back”.

***************************************************************

Please allow 2 to 3 weeks for shipping. (See FAQs for shipping info.)

Extended Interest-Free Installment plans are available. (See FAQs for more info.)

See FAQs for options to customize our prints.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0302/1534/0171/files/BFFs_FINAL_productPg_web_29332157-71e4-4a4e-8db8-200efb674354.jpg?v=1792451181
